BREAKING NEWS: UAE lifts all movement restrictions nationwide
The national sterilization programme has officially been completed and all movement restrictions are lifted.
The national sterilization programme has officially been completed and all movement restrictions are lifted as of Wednesday, 25th June. Residents can now travel freely nationwide at any time of the day.
The initial restrictions included a lockdown during the hours of sterilization between 11 pm to 6 am in Dubai and 10 pm to 6 am in other Emirates.
Dr Al Dhaheri said: "The programme helped us sterilize public facilities like public transportation means, including the Dubai Metro. We will continue to sterilise all public facilities."
The UAE Government has asked the public to still practice social distancing in public areas until further notice and be cautious in common areas. Self sanitization is still recommended and if wearing masks in public is still mandatory is yet to be confirmed.
