Long Weekend Announced For Islamic New Year

A long weekend has been announced for the Federal Government on the occasion of the Islamic New Year.

The second long weekend for the month has been officially announced by the Federal Government.

“It has been decided that the Hijri New Year holiday for the year 1442 in the Federal Government of the United Arab Emirates will be on Sunday, 23rd of August 2020, and regular working hours will resume on Monday, 24th of August 2020.”

The holiday has been approved for the public sector, the announcement for the private sector has yet to be made.
