As of Thursday, January 21, 2021, the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) in efforts to ensure all stakeholders in the tourism sector comply with all precautionary and preventive measures released a statement stating:

"directing all concerned in hotel establishments and restaurants to temporarily hold entertainment activities as of Thursday, January 21, 2021 until further notice."

The directive comes after the DTCM tracked, through field inspection, an increase in the number of violations during entertainment activities in hotels and restaurants.

The DTCM has stated that they will continue to assess the new situation along with health authorities and make amendments as they deem necessary.

We urge the public to not take matters lightly as we are not yet out in the clear, it was only just a year ago we were faced with a strict lockdown. Let us all do our part in staying safe, and vigilant when going out to ensure we all get out of this pandemic together.
