COVID-19: Timing amendment for entertainment and food services

A statement issued by the government stated new rules for restaurants and venues hosting entertainers and serving shisha

A statement released today by the Government of Dubai has strictly asked all hotels, restaurants, conferences, retailers and venues to:


- Suspend all entertainment activities after 1:00 AM.

- Suspend the provision of food and beverage services in hotel establishments after 3:00 AM with the exception of delivery and room service.

The below are in place for 2 weeks, subject to the COVID-19 situation

- Suspend serving shisha after 3:00 AM.

- Receiving dine-in customers after 3:00 AM is not allowed.

- Only delivery and take away will be permitted after 3:00 AM


Regular and frequent inspections will be conducted to make sure establishments comply, and will otherwise be fined for each violation.
