As things get back to normal day by day, we are graced with the news that ICA approval no longer needed for residents to return to the UAE.

Entry permits for residents looking to return to the country are no longer required.

The NCEMA made the announcement in support of business activities resuming and the end of summer holidays for residents to return.

As of today (August 12), pre-approval will automatically be granted for expat residents who choose to return without the need to apply for an official permit.

However, a negative COVID-19 test result is still mandatory to enter the country or to board flights. It is still advised to update your data on the gov website: (smartservices.ica.gov.ae) to verify your travel documents.
