COVID-19: NEW temporary measures for February

The Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) has issued a statement directing all hotel establishments - including restaurants, swimming pools and private beaches with a new set of rules.

As of Tuesday, 2nd February 2021 the below have been put in place until the end of February, at which point they will reassess the situation.

1. Hotels to operate at 70% occupancy.

2. 70% capacity limit for hotel establishment’s swimming pools and private beaches.

3. Restaurants dining required to close by 1:00 AM, the last order to be taken by 12:00 AM (except for external orders and delivery services).

4. Suspending music playing in restaurants, pools and beaches.

5. Temporarily close all Pubs/Bars

The DTCM would once again like to remind everyone to adhere to the measures and procedures issued while also advising the general public to postpone any activity that leads to large gatherings in order to avoid any consequential procedures and violations.
