The Dubai Tourism board (DTCM) and Government officals have issued a statement to all hospitality groups in Dubai giving them the green light to host solo entertainment acts in their establishments. Entertainers can perform in any indoor or outdoor pool and common areas within their properties.

The regulations for nightclubs, bars and dance floors are excluded from these guidelines. Performance groups like bands and dancers are also excempt from this change. Only solo performers including DJs, musicians or any other stage show artists are allowed.

All entertainers must wear a mask throughout and stay only on the stage space during their performances, without interacting physically with the audience. The establishments also must adhere to specific guidelines like no flashing lights or suggestive "club like" ambience.

Establishments will also have to apply for permits for every performer that is hosted. We can only assume artists will be back under the spotlight later this week.

Visitors are also not allowed to gather for spectation or dancing and social distancing must be observed at all times. Regular guidelines still apply, social distancing, temperature screening and sanitzation.

This may seem overwhelming, however it is a step towards bringing Dubai back to what it was while still being careful.
