The Abu Dhabi movement restrictions have been further extended by one week, as of June 23.

While now travel in and out of the Emirate which covers Al Ain, Abu Dhabi and Al Dhafrah are permitted. Movement out of Abu Dhabi can be done so without a permit, however, entering the capital requires an authorised permit.

“Restrictions on entering Abu Dhabi are being extended by another week, with exemptions for all types of goods and mail and permit holders.

“Exiting the emirate will continue without a permit.”

This extension leads the capital into its fourth week since the travel restrictions were imposed.

The ban applies to all nationals and residents. Exemptions are made for employees in vital sections and for transfer of goods and mail - for which the Abu Dhabi police have allocated security points to ensure smooth flow.
