Lucky us! It's the weekend and Dubai hotel and residential pools are set to reopen. The Westin Dubai, Cove Beach and Atlantis The Palm are just some of the hotels ready to have you swimming starting today (June 12).

While hotels are the best choice for pictures on the 'gram, gyms, health clubs and residential pools are also good to go.

Before getting your toes wet, all establishments are geared with a set of guidelines by The Dubai Municipality. The guidelines have specific requirements that are not optional, one of them being a deep clean pre-opening and multiple water tests.

Guests are required to also take precautions while using the facilities. All staff and visitors will have their temperature screened upon arrival, and swimmers must maintain  social distance of two metres inside and outside the pool. Group sizes are maxed at five people, and there must be four metres space between sun loungers between groups.

Guests must also rinse before and after swimming using the poolside showers. Avoid any water going in and out of your mouth or coughing while around the pool, guests will also have to carry their own towels.

It is advised not to spend over two hours per pool session, and use cashless payment when purchasing refreshments around the area.

Unfortunaetly, spas, saunas and jacuzzis are still off limits - so are social gatherings of groups above 5 people. Until mentioned otherwise, water parks and playgrounds are all closed.

*Hotels may request manditory bookings in advance.
